The blessings of saints and their powers often leave everyone in awe. This blog recounts a miraculous event where, through the blessings of a saint, a childless couple received the gift of a son. This story teaches us the importance of following the instructions of saints and the miracles their blessings can bring into our lives.
An Example of Divine Blessings: The blessings of saints
One day, Babaji arrived at the house of the late Mr. Jagati in Allahabad with several of his devotees. Mr. Jagati warmly welcomed Babaji and his devotees, serving them with great devotion and offering them fruits. Babaji picked up an apple from the offerings and, handing it to Mr. Jagati as a blessing, said, “Give this to your wife. You have no children, but you will be blessed with a son.” Babaji’s grace was such that without being asked, he granted them everything.
A Miraculous Incident
After Babaji left, Mr. Jagati began to ponder. At sixty years old and his wife being fifty-four, he felt they were too old to raise a child. While he was lost in thought, his seventy-year-old neighbor, who was also childless, came over. The neighbor’s wife was over sixty. Mr. Jagati decided to give them the apple.
The Miracle and Its Consequences
After eating the apple, the neighbor’s elderly wife became pregnant and, in due course, gave birth to a son. They lovingly cared for the child, but sadly, the child passed away after two years. The elderly couple was heartbroken. When Mr. Jagati met Babaji again, he narrated the entire incident and asked why the child had died. Babaji immediately responded, “I gave that apple to your wife. You gave it to a sixty-two-year-old woman. If the boy had not gone, what else could have happened?”
Conclusion
This story teaches us that not everyone is fortunate enough to receive the blessings of saints. When instructed by a saint, one should always comply. Staying in the guidance of a guru and following their instructions can bring miracles into our lives.
